In early August 2000, officials from the "610 Office[1]," and the local authorities sent Mr. Wang to the Longfeng Detention Center. On September 27, 2000, Mr. Wang was sentenced to one year of forced labor in the Daqing Labor Camp for his belief in Falun Gong. After his release in spring 2001, his work unit continuously monitored him. In September 2001, because he showed his co-work the Falun Gong truth materials, the party secretary of the No. 65 Middle School, Wang Shuxiang, reported him to the police. Mr. Wang fled his home to avoid further persecution.

On January 15, 2002, Mr. Wang distributed Falun Gong materials in Wuolitun area. Wuolitun local police arrested him and tortured him. The torture methods included; tying him to a metal chair, cuffing his hands, shackling his feet and putting a plastic bag over his head, splashing water mixed with hot pepper flakes into his eyes, choking him, stomping on his handcuffs, etc. Police broke and deformed the bridge of his nose. Wang Kemin went on a hunger strike for a month to protest the torture, and was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment, he escaped from the hospital.

On November 27, 2002, Daqing City Sa District police officers arrested Mr. Wang while he was delivering Falun Gong materials to another Falun Gong practitioner's home. At the Daqing City Sa District police station, police used various forms of torture on Mr. Wang for six days. With the help of other Falun Gong practitioners he escaped from incarceration again.

Extensive efforts were put out by police to search down Mr. Wang. On May 7, 2003, the police arrested Mr. Wang and three other practitioners, and they murdered Mr. Wang by torture on the same night.

Police tried to cover up Mr. Wang’s death, but the bruises covering Mr. Wang’s  body were evidence of how he had died. The authorities were extremely scared, and cremated him in a hurry. They threatened his family not to keep quiet, and stated that they would arrest every single Falun Gong practitioner who attended the funeral. They arranged to have many plainclothes agents inside the funeral home.
